MIT Global Startup Workshop in Bangkok
At the end of March, I had been given the chance to take part to the MIT Global Startup Workshop in Bangkok with 5 of my MBA colleagues.
This represented a unique occasion for Early Makers from EMLYON to meet entrepreneurs coming from all over the world, talk with them, share challenges, projects and experiences. There was also outstanding speakers leading relevant discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship, new trends and technologies.
The conference lasted 3 days and at the end, each participant was challenged to an Elevator Pitch competition where we were given 60 seconds to present our business idea to the jury. The days before we presented our pitch, we received specific training on how to deliver a pitch, maximize pitching time and finally, how to get the jury to like you. We also listened to inspiring entrepreneurs, professors and speakers from around the world speak and share their stories and give us advice.
It was a highly rewarding experience, we made good connections with organiser from MIT and guest-speakers.
After the conference, my classmates and I had the chance to visit the south of Thailand. We got in touch with their inner culture and I took this opportunity to experience a meditation retreat of three days with a Buddhist monk. We work hard and we play hard!
